Based off the video game of the same name, 'The Last Of Us' follows the story of a Man, Joel and a young girl, Ellie, who have been brought together in a post apocalyptic 2023, 20 years after a fungus breakout that changed the world over night. The Last of us, much like many of the zombie apocalypse movies and shows we have seen, has so far had its far share of jump scares as well as moments that have had us holding our breathes. However, even with it only having released three episodes to date, it has grown to quickly become an audience favorite, with news of it already being renewed for second season. The latest episode has touched viewers, so much so that some have even gone as far as calling it the 'saddest episode' in television history with rotten tomatoes giving it a rating of 96%. However, you will have to be the judge of that.

The show stars the dashing Pedro Pascal who plays the lead role of Joel who many might know from shows such as Narcos, The Mandalorian and my personal favourite, Game of Thrones. All which have had high rankings on rotten tomatoes. And his co-star, Bella Ramsey, who was also featured in Game of thrones as Lyanna Mormont. The show has so far been a spitting image of the video game with the main characters bearing a striking resemblance to their cartoon counter parts.

If you are into zombie killing, tear jerking television or perhaps have been searching for something new to occupy your time with on a Monday night, then look no further. I would definitely suggest you that you give 'The Last of us' a try. And if you don't enjoy it, then you may at least enjoy Pedro Pascal's rugged salt and pepper post apocalyptic look, if you're into that kind of thing, (I know I am, lol).
